This pakora recipe is from Beyond Curries... I didn't use the cumin seeds or ginger, but next time I want to try this with the ajwain seeds (they are a favorite of mine!) They were really easy to make and my daughter loved them! I paired them up with a new recipe I tried for Tamarind Chutney on Manjula's page... This was really easy to make and is the best recipe I've tried so far... I didn't use the ginger powder as I didn't have any, so I replaced it with chaat masala. Try and enjoy :)

You seem to be on a pokora/bhaji making spree lately, what better way to bring in the new yr than to indulge in fried goodies!
Those pakoras do look fab, never would have thought to make pakoras out of cabbage, gives a whole new meaning to eat your vegetables!

this looks delicious, have all the ingredients except the asafoetida what is that??? is it necessary in the recipe?

~ Thanks, everyone :)
~ Asafoetida is a resin from a tree used as a spice... If you can't find it, I think you can use a little garlic powder, very little... and maybe onion powder... You could just leave it out of the recipe, too!
yummylicious!!! I bet the ajwain would be wonderful I love ajwain in pakoras.
