Butter Mahi-Mahi ?

I was all ready to make some butter chicken and got in the freezer and found only frozen fish...So, here is some Butter Mahi Mahi that turned out well and my daughter didn't know it was fish until I told her :D The recipe is just something I've adapted over time trying different things here and there...though I rarely make it the same way each time.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds Mahi Mahi
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbs. ginger/garlic paste
  • 2 tsp. coriander powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne powder
  • 4 Tbs. oil
  • 3 Tbs. dried fenugreek leaves
  • 8 ounce tomato sauce
Method:
Marinate fish in sour cream, ginger/garlic paste, coriander, cumin and cayenne for about an hour. Heat oil in pan, add fish and cook about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add dried fenugreek and tomato sauce and cook until fish is done and sauce is thickened.

~ I'm complicated...Nevermind me, just enjoy me - meeso ~

This looks so yummy with so less effort to bring the buttery taste. I should admit it that even for me making the same recipe over and again never taste the same like in the restaurants :(

I wish you and your family a very Happy New Year and thanks for your warm mssg on my blog!

~ Happy cook, Thank you...and it was an interesting experiment with fish :)

~ Padma, There was no butter but I didn't really notice because of the unusual fish flavor...and you're right, sometimes It's impossible to make something taste like it does in restaurants.

~ Kribha, I had no idea at that point what I was making but I had to keep going once I realized I had no chicken...in the end, it doesn't matter what it was because it tasted so good :)
