Valarmathi's Baby Potato Gravy & Cauliflower w/ Bell Peppers

Here's a link to a quick and easy potato gravy I found at Simple and Yummy recipes (I'm enjoying trying all of your recipes so much :)... I added about 1/4 cup half and half and about a teaspoon garam masala at the end... I served it with some roti's and cauliflowers with peppers... here's the recipe for that...

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounce frozen cauliflower
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 2 tablespoons peanuts
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • about 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup dessicated coconut
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • salt, to taste
Method:

Heat oil in skillet and sizzle cumin seeds a few seconds. Add the peanuts, garlic, bell peppers and chili and fry a few minutes until garlic turns a little golden. Add cauliflower, coconut, salt, and water, cover, and simmer until cauliflower is tender.

This is a mild dish, but I really liked it... it went well with the spicier potato gravy.
