Bread Pudding & Award

Here is one of my mothers favorite desserts, and one she made a lot for us while growing up. It's a basic recipe that you can find here, but I have made a few changes according to mom. My mom uses two cans of evaporated milk in place of the 2 cups of regular milk. Also, she started buying cinnamon raisin bread to use in place of the bread crumbs. She cuts the pieces of bread into quarters and lays them out into the baking dish and up along the sides, then pours the milk mixture into the middle, and layers more bread on top before baking. This also takes care of the need to add raisins. My mom still adds the nutmeg, even though there is cinnamon in the bread, and the recipe calls for one or the other. We have never made the bourbon sauce in the recipe because we always liked the bread pudding just as it is.

Now, on to my award :) Hetal was kind enough to pass this award along to me awhile back and I had somehow overlooked posting it... Sorry Hetal, and thanks again for passing such a sweet award on to me!
I am passing this award on to Ranji who made my day recently when she surprised me with an awesome award :)

That looks really fabulous! Bet the cinnamon raisin bread makes a huge difference! I recently made french toast using that, I'm sure you could use Italian panattonne to make this too.
Congrats on the award Meeso:)
