Mother's Day for a Kitten

My mom and I have always had a lot of cats, most of them being rescues, and it is well known by all our neighbors. Friday, my mom's next-door neighbor came to ask us if one of her cats was missing a kitten. There was a lone little kitten, very small and skinny, about 6 weeks old sitting and crying in his garage. I immediately went and rescued the kitten, as we had no clue who it belonged to. I took care of this kitten for two days, letting it sleep with me and trying to feed it kitten milk from a bottle I got from the vet. I knew that over the weekend I could take care of it, but had no idea what I would do after I went back to work. One of our cats had just had kittens 10 days earlier and I came up with the idea that possibly she could adopt this kitten. Over the next day and a half I slowly introduced the kitten to the mama cat. She started slow, but eventually became very fond of the baby... Eventually letting it nurse right next to her own babies. She adopted the little baby right on Mother's Day and I think it has become her favorite, as this one will already play with her :D~

You can see how much bigger she is than the newborns
